Getting started
No, and that's the point. You cut by selecting words in the transcript, not by dragging clips on a timeline. Pick a clip type and a template and the captions, framing, thumbnail and pacing are already decided — the first render is postable, and you change things only if you want to.
Any Mac from the last five years, or a Windows 11 machine with 8GB of RAM and a few gigabytes free. Larger Whisper models and 4K sources want more memory and time. Linux isn't supported at launch.
On a recent laptop, roughly: a one-hour talk transcribes in a few minutes on the small Whisper model, clip finding takes under a minute, and each finished clip renders in well under a minute. Nothing waits behind other customers in a queue, so the only variable is your machine.
Yes: three days of the whole app on your own recordings — every clip type, the editor, and as many unwatermarked exports as you want. It starts with the $15 monthly plan, and cancelling inside the three days costs nothing. Scheduling and posting need the Connected plan, so they're not in the trial. After that, carry on monthly or buy the licence outright; either way there's a 14-day refund.
Install, activate with your licence key, open a video. ffmpeg and Whisper are bundled, so there's nothing to install separately. Adding an AI key or a local model is optional — built-in scoring needs neither.

An integration hands a finished clip to a tool you already run instead of posting it ourselves. Buffer is the first: connect it once and clips land in its queue with their captions attached, while your schedule, approvals, analytics and channel connections stay where your team already has them. Others follow on the same hand-off, and there's a webhook for your own systems. Integrations arrive in 3.2.
Posting does — once a clip is rendered and queued, delivery doesn't need your machine. Making a video is local work, so a task that renders something needs the machine awake at that time. Overnight tasks are the usual answer.

Cost over time
Measured against a $15/month cloud plan — the cheap tier, before its minute caps push you up one. Renting costs the same as that plan; buying costs it once.
Renting asks $15 to begin instead of $149.99, and costs the same as the cloud plan if you stay — which is why it's for deciding. Buying is the route that stops costing: after ten months it's cheaper than renting, and after three years it's a quarter of either subscription.

You pay monthly — $15 for Individual, $45 for Group — and stop whenever you like; the licence runs to the end of the month you've paid for. It doesn't turn into ownership: renting is a rental. When it ends the app stops opening, but nothing of yours is held hostage — finished clips sit in your folders, and you can still export the projects you'd already cut. Ten months of rent costs about what buying costs, so if you know you're staying, buy.

No — it's free on every licence. The upload runs from your machine to your bucket or drive with credentials you enter, so it costs us nothing and we never hold a copy.
Every release inside the major version you bought. Buy at 3.0 and 3.1 through 3.5 are yours as they ship, free and with no deadline — that's the thumbnail generator, script to video, Mix, video to book, the command line and the mobile apps. A new major version, 4.0, would be a separate licence offered to existing holders below full price; until you take it, your 3.x keeps working exactly as it does today.
Yes. If you bought, you pay the difference between the two licences — never the full price twice. If you're renting, the rate just changes to the new tier from the next month. Brand kits, projects and seats carry over either way.
Card or invoice for Group. Corporate is buy-outright and invoiced against a purchase order — procurement prefers one line item to a monthly charge — with the Connected plan quoted per seat if you want it.
14 days on outright purchases, no questions. Rentals can be cancelled any time and simply end at the close of the paid term.
Because you're buying from an unknown vendor before the reviews exist, and that deserves a discount. On 1 January 2027 the prices become $179, $699 and $2,990. Anything bought or rented before then keeps its price permanently — including monthly rentals, which stay at the rate you started on.

Ariloop is desktop software sold by Bezalelalabs Ltd of 251 Overbank Dr, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). Buying a licence, renting one, or using the trial means you accept what follows. If you are buying for an organisation, you are telling us you may bind it.
A licence to run the software, not a share of it. A bought licence is permanent: it keeps working on the version you have for as long as you have a machine that runs it, whatever happens to us. A rental runs month to month and stops when you stop paying — renting never turns into ownership, and we say so here because it is the thing people most often assume otherwise.
We are not selling a subscription to a service. The transcription, the clip finding, the rendering and your files all happen on your hardware. The only parts we host are the ones described as the Connected plan.
Rentals are billed monthly in advance and cancel at the end of the month you have paid for. When a rental ends the app stops opening — but nothing of yours is held hostage: finished files stay in your folders, and you can still export the projects you had already cut.
The trial is three days of the whole app on your own recordings, with no watermark and no export limit. One trial per device. Starting the monthly plan and cancelling inside the three days costs nothing.
A bought licence is tied to the major version it was bought at. Every subsequent release inside that version — 3.1, 3.2 and so on for a licence bought at 3.x — is included at no extra cost, for as long as we publish them. A new major version is a separate licence; we expect to offer it to existing holders below the full price, but we do not promise a particular price or date here. Nothing forces the move: your version keeps working indefinitely. A rental always runs on the current version for as long as the rental runs.
Fourteen days on a purchase, no argument and no interrogation — write to us and we refund it. Rentals are not refunded for a month already used; cancel and it simply does not renew. Refunds are processed by Paddle, who took the payment.
Yours, entirely. We claim no licence over anything you record, import, cut or export, and in normal operation we never receive it: it does not leave your machine unless you configure something that sends it, such as your own storage or a cloud AI provider you choose.
The Connected plan covers the parts that run on our servers — the scheduler, direct posting, integrations, scheduled tasks, and syncing kits and templates between seats. It is optional, billed monthly or yearly, and cancelling it stops only those hosted parts. The local app carries on.
Paddle is our merchant of record: they sell the licence to you, handle tax, and their terms apply to the transaction itself. If you connect a posting channel, a storage provider or a cloud AI model, those services' own terms apply to what you send them, under your own account and your own key.
We promise the software does broadly what this site says it does. We cannot promise it never crashes, that a given AI model picks the moments you would have picked, or that a platform we hand a post to accepts it. Beyond the refund above, and to the extent the law where you live allows it, our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
You can stop using Ariloop whenever you like; a bought licence stays valid regardless. We may end a licence only for a serious breach of these terms — the kind listed under "what you may not do" — and we will tell you why.
If we change these terms we will change the date at the top and, for anything that materially affects you, tell licence holders by email. The terms you agreed to at purchase govern that purchase.
These terms are governed by the law of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer.

The short version: your recordings, transcripts and renders stay on your machine. We hold the small amount needed to sell you a licence and keep it working — an email address, a licence key, and a fingerprint of each activated device.
Video, audio, transcripts, clip titles, thumbnails, rendered files, and the contents of any project. The pipeline runs locally, so there is nothing for us to receive, log or lose. We do not measure what your clips are about.
Handled by Paddle as merchant of record. They take the payment and hold the card details — we never see them. We receive the fact of the purchase, the amount, the country it was taxed in, and the email address attached to it.
If you point Ariloop at a cloud AI model, the text of your transcript goes to that provider under your own API key and their terms. If you set up storage sync, your files go to the bucket or drive you named, under your own credentials — we never hold those credentials. If you connect a posting channel, the clip and its caption go to that platform. Each of these is your choice, and each is off until you make it.
One session cookie on the dashboard so that signing in sticks. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics pixels on this site.
Account and licence records last as long as the licence does, plus the period our tax obligations require. Released devices fall out of the active list but stay in the audit trail so a seat dispute can be settled. Ask us to delete an account and we will, keeping only what the law makes us keep.
Depending on where you live, you can ask for a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within thirty days. If you are in the UK or EU, the controller is Bezalelalabs Ltd, 251 Overbank Dr, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, and you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Ariloop is sold to adults and to organisations. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly hold data about them.
